Call to Order. 2. Possible Action and discussion on absence requests. 3. Initial Hear Visitors. Visitors after stating name and address for the record may address the Historic Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under the appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to staff for research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be issued. 4. Possible action and discussion to approve meeting minutes of regular meeting of January 17, 2006. 5. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding the Veterans Park America’s Mile project. 6. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding the committee practices and procedures. 7. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding an update on the Historical Southside Commercial strip and the TxDOT plans for the George Bush & Wellborn area. Project Updates: 8. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding Project HOLD. 9. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding the Exploring History Lunch Lecture Series. 10. Calendar of pertinent past and upcoming community events pertaining to historical interests. Past January 26 African-American National Heritage Society Banquet, 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton. Upcoming February 15 Exploring History Lunch Lecture: Folk History March 15 Exploring History Lunch Lecture. Cemeteries. April 20-22 Texas Historical Commission Conference in Galveston at the Tremont House. 11. Final Hear Visitors – as per direction in agenda item number 3. 12. Possible action and discussion on future agenda items – A Historic Preservation Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not be given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting. 13. Adjourn.
