All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. 5.Presentation and discussion by Steve Beachy for the new cemetery acquisition: There has not been any land purchased to date for cemetery. Formal offers have been made for land associated with the Aggie Field of Honor site, through the university but the contents of the offer could not be disclosed due to certain laws. That offer will have to go to the Board of Regions. Will possibly be on the agenda for May. The land on Wellborn Road is still being considered and discussed. A third piece of land across from the landfill was being considered, but there are not any negotiations in process. The offer to the University is also contingent upon the acquisition of the adjacent land owned by the Kenman’s, so there are negotiations with them, and an offer has been made. A Mr. Lavonian from California was flown in by Don Fazzino to come in and look at what we had and what we wanted to do as far as the Cemetery was concerned. He let Don Fazzino and Steve know that it was possible to extend the life of the College Station Cemetery by at least three years. There is a possibility that Mr. Lavonian will be helping out in the long run with the development of the new cemetery. This was an informational item only and no motion made. 6.Discussion of next meeting date and agenda: There was a thth tentative meeting set for May the 12, and June 9. This was an informational item only and no motion made. 7. Adjourn: The meeting adjourned at 11:07 a.m.
