5. Discussion, consideration and possible action regarding the status of the
landscape plan for the cremate area and the plan for memorializing the
Madeleys:
The boulder should be delivered in 2 – 3 weeks. It will be placed in
the planter off to the side. Ross suggested with the remaining money, that was
allotted for the Madeley Memorial area, that a bench be purchased and placed in
the live oak area. He also wanted to plant a row of crepe myrtles that would set of
Section LR from the rest of the cemetery.
6.Discussion, consideration and possible action regarding the Master
Landscape Plan of the cemetery:
Most of this discussion dealt with renovating
the back entrance to the cemetery. The street is proposed to be widened to 25
feet. It was suggested that the gate to the back entrance of the cemetery be placed
at the cemetery property line, with nice signage out on Anderson Street to direct
traffic to the cemetery. The signage could be placed in a planter to set it off from
the surroundings, and make it look more appealing.
