Brazos County Commissioner's Courtroom 200 South Texas Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77803 AGENDA 1) Welcome and Open Meeting -Pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags and Invocation. 2) Public Comments Regarding Items Not On The Agenda -Individuals who wish to address the Policy Board must fill out a Public Comment Card describing the topic(s) they wish to address. Public Comment Cards may be obtained from Lisa Lyon of the MPO staff prior to the start of the meeting. Please limit your comments to three minutes per topic. Additional time will be allotted if Policy Board members have questions. 3) Minutes from the January 10, 2018 Policy Board meeting. -Consider adoption - Action Required. (See attachment.) 4) Staff Report • Board of Directors for Texas Innovation Alliance Results of January 19 Human Service Agency Transportation Coordination Workshop Regional Bicycle Plan 5) University Drive Study Final Report -Halff and Associates will make a presentation on the University Drive Final Report. Once the presentation and question and answer session are complete the Policy Board will be asked to accept the report as work complete. Both the Active Transportation Advisory Panel (ATAP) and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) have accepted the report. Action Required. (See attachment.) 6) Adoption of MPO Safety Targets -Under federal law, all MPO's must adopt transportation safety targets within 180 days of the State adoption of safety targets. TxDOT adopted safety performance targets for Texas on August 31, 201 7for five federally required safety performance measures. These targets are applicable to all public roads in Texas regardless of functional classification or. ownership. The MPO must now establish safety targets specific to public roads within the MPO area for the same five safety performance measures no later than February 27, 2018. The TAC has recommended that the MPO support the state's safety targets. Action Required. (See attachment.) 7) Revisions to MPO's Top Five Unfunded/Underfunded Priority Projects -While the top five projects remain unchanged, recent activities and studies require that project descriptions and costs for the projects be revisited. With the assistance of TxDOT, the cost estimates have been updated to reflect anticipated funding necessary to complete these projects. These costs are a part of the information packet used by the Chamber's Federal Legislative Action Plan team when they visit Washington, D. C. in the spring. The TAC has recommended that the revised project descriptions and costs be adopted. Action Requested.
