Dear Ms. Sterling:
The City of College Station Building and Standards Commission will hold a meeting on Monday,
11 March 2002 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1101 Texas Avenue,
College Station,Texas. The purpose of this meeting will be to hear a report on the status of the
demolition efforts for the structure at the above referenced address. At the meeting you,or your
representative,will be required to report to the Commission in compliance with the order issued
at their meeting on 10 September 2001. The Commission will be considering granting an
extension on the time allowed to demolish the structure in question.

Staff Report
Item: Update on the demolition status of a structure located at 207 Sterling Street (Lot
14, Block 2, of an unrecorded portion of Richards Subdivision, Brazos County, Texas).
Item background: The original order issued by the Commission in September regarding
this property provided for a maximum time of 180 days for demolition unless the
Commission granted a time extension. As part of the original order, the Commission also
requested that the owner come back before the Commission at ninety (90) day intervals to
present a status report(s) on demolition efforts and funding through the Community
Development Department. The Commission received an update on this case from the
property owner and a representative from the Community Development Department
during the last meeting on 10 December 2001.
This meeting marks the end of the 180 day time limit for complying with the original
demolition order. The property owner was notified of the meeting via certified mail and
was asked to be here to update the Commission on any progress concerning demolition
efforts. A representative from Community Development should also be in attendance to
answer any questions the Commission may have. The Commission may, after hearing a
report from the property owner, choose to grant an extension on the 180 day time limit
provided for in the original order.
