Call to order and Roll Call. The meeting was called to order with a quorum present at 7:05 PM. 2. Possible action concerning requests for absences of members. An absence request was received from Marc Chaloupka and Ann Hays. Gary Erwin made a motion to approve the absence request and Paul Dyson seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. 3. Hear visitors. Introduction of new Recreation Manager, Ana Romero and the College Station Cub Scout Pack 602 wanted to thank David Schmitz for allowing them to use Bee Creek Pavilion. 4. Consideration, possible approval, and discussion of minutes from January 10, 2017 meeting. Keith Roberts made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted, and Gary Erwin seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. 5. Consideration, possible approval, and discussion of minutes from January 24, 2017 Special Meeting. Keith Roberts made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted, and Megan Fuentes seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. 6. Presentation, possible action, and discussion concerning waterline easement through Lick Creek. Bill Mather gave a presentation to the Board and Keith Roberts and Gary Erwin recommended to send to Planning and Zoning. This building Is wheelchair accessible. This was informational only, no action was taken. 9. Update by Vanessa Garza on the Bicycle, pedestrian & Greenways Master Plan. Vanessa Garza gave an update. Informational item only. No action was taken. 10. Presentation on Brazos Valley Senior Games. Gene Ballew gave a presentation on Senior Games. Informational item only. No action was taken. 11. Update on assigned parks and provide an inspection checklist. The new checklist was handed out to each member. 12.Report, possible action, and discussion concerning the current Parks Projects Summary and Dedications of Less than Five Acres from Rusty Warncke. BARRACKS PARKS • Addition of three new parks, along with lights to the existing parks. • Council March 9th for approval. BEE CREEK PARK • Pickle Ball — Requesting quotes but funding is limited. BRIDGEWOOD PARK • The cost of drainage needs to be added to the current quote. Once I have that, it will sent to Purchasing for contract. BROTHERS POND PARK • Replacement of play unit and surfacing. Working on quote for sealed drawings. CASTLEGATE PARK • Swing set surfacing.— COMPLETE. • Tennis Court Light Fixtures — Will request quotes to have all 9 light fixtures and poles replaced with LED fixtures. CASTLEROCK PARK • Removal of pea gravel surfacing and replace with bonded rubber. COMPLETE. Sent to Purchasing for contract • Softball Bleacher Cover — Replacement of all four shade covers. Waiting on one additional quote. • ADA Improvements along front pond. — Waiting on new engineering proposal. CRESCENT POINT PARK • Design firm working on construction drawings for additional amenities to park using Parkland Dedication funds. Drawings are under department review. CY MILLER PARK • New metal roof for gazebo. Current pricing is too high to move forward with at this time. Waiting to see if any projects come in under budget before requesting new quotes. EDELWEISS PARK • New swing and surfacing. Scheduled to start first of April. EDELWEISS GARTENS PARK • Removal of pea gravel surfacing, replace with bonded rubber. Sealed drawings are required before moving forward. Working on cost. FUN FOR ALL PARK • Firm making changes to the 95% drawings GEORGIE K FITCH PARK • New playground and surfacing. Scheduled to start late March • Basketball court resurfacing. Will request quotes later this spring. G.K. FITCH/ RINGER LIBRARY TRAIL • Concrete path connecting Fitch Park to the Ringer Library.
