DRAFT AGENDA
1. Welcome and Call to Order
-Pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags and Invocation by Judge Peters
2. Public Comments regarding items not on the agenda
-Individuals who wish to address the Policy Board must fill out a Public Comment Card
describing the topic(s) they wish to address. Public Comment Cards may be obtained from Lisa
Lyon of the MPO staff prior to the start of the meeting. Please limit your comments to three
minutes per topic. Additional time will be allotted if Policy Board members have questions.
3. Review and approval of May 4, 2016 Policy Board Minutes
-The Policy Board will review and make corrections to the minutes and then either approve the
minutes or move to instruct staff to correct the minutes and return them to the Policy Board for
approval at their next meeting. (See attachment.)
4. Director's Report
-FM 2818 Corridor Study RFQ Update
-Website Update
-University Drive Corridor Study
5. Texas A&M Campus Master Plan Update
-Ms. Lilia Gonzalez, University Architect, will present the highlights of the transportation
elements in the Texas A&M University Campus Master Plan. Policy Board member questions
and feedback are encouraged. Mr. Tim Lomax of the Texas Transportation Institute will briefly
present a follow up study the Institute is doing on mobility issues facing the Texas A&M campus.

6. Draft FY 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
-The public comment period has closed and the Technical Committee has recommended that the
TIP be adopted. Changes to the TIP include the addition of the City of Bryan TAP project on
South College and operational improvements on William Joe Bryan from Villa Maria to SH 6
and the addition of the FM 60 at FM 2818 DDI project to the FY 2017 grouped project list. In
addition, the Highway Funding Summary is updated accordingly. Consider
adoption of the 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program. (See attachment.)

7. Draft 2050 Regional Major Thoroughfare Concept
-The Technical Committee has finalized a draft Major Thoroughfare Plan for public review and
comment. The Technical Committee is still finalizing the public involvement plan for the review
of the Thoroughfare Plan. (See attachment.)
8. Future Transportation Project Update
-Mr. Paul Kaspar, City Engineer, City of Bryan, will provide an update of transportation projects
in the City of Bryan and present a project in the design stage affecting the Bryan Parkway and
SH 6 interchange. The City of College Station will present at the next Policy Board meeting.
9. Potential Cancellation of July Policy Board Meeting
-The Technical Committee is holding three workshops after their next meeting on June 16, 2016.
They will be discussing the Public Involvement Plan for the Regional Thoroughfare Concept and
once completed no Board action will be necessary. The Technical Committee is also meeting to
prepare a list of suggested projects for the use of Category Two funds at the request of TxDOT
and establish a list of the Top Five Priority Projects that remain unfunded. Once these two lists
are finalized by the TAC, staff will need to determine what required documents will need to be
amended to show these projects. It is anticipated that the Metropolitan Transportation Plan and
the Transportation Improvement Program will need to be revised It is unlikely that the creation
of the lists and the update of the documents will be completed by the July Policy Board meeting.
