AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, ORDERING A GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE CII'Y OF COLLEGE STATION, ON TUESDAY, APRIL 6,
1943, FOR THE ELECTION OF FIVE COUNCILMEN.; FIXING THE TIME, PLACE AND
MANNER OF HOLDING THE ELECTION, AND APPOINTING JUDGES AND CLERKS THEREFOR.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, that:
A general election be and the same is hereby ordered to be held
on the first Tuesday in April, 1943, the same being April 6, for the pur-
pose of electing five Councilmen of the City of College Station, Texas.
Be it further ordained that said election be held in the Missouri -
Pacific Station of said City of College Station and that the following
persons are hereby appointed managers of said election, To wit: C. H.
Winkler, Judge, end such additional assistants as may be deemed necessary
( to be arranged by Mr. VVinkler). The polls shallbe opened promptly at
8 o'clock A.M. and shall be closed promptly at 6 o'clock P.M.
Said election shall be held under the provisions of the laws of
the State of Texas governing general elections , and only duly qualified
voters who are residents of the City of College Station shall be allowed
to vote.
Copies of this ordinance, si.Nped by tle Mayor and attested by
the City Secretary shall, when posted at three public places in the City
of College Station, serve as a proper notice of said election.
Passed and approved this the 18th .day of February , 1943.
