HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-0258 - Ordinance - 11/25/1957BOORUM & PEASE BOORUM & PEASE "NoTt J " ® ORDINANCE NO. 258 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY OUT OF THE SOUTH KNOLL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. WHEREAS, a majority of the inhabitants and qualified voters in such territory and the persons owning a majority of the land in said territory have petitioned the City of College Station to annex said area as provided in Section 6 of the Charter of the City of College Station; BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, that the area described as follows be annexed and made a part of the City of College Station: Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 2, Block 15, of the South Knoll Addition, which plat is of record in Volume 184, page 1, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas: Thence, N 66° 55' E 1241.1 feet along the most northerly boundary of Lots in Blocks 15 and 14 of the said South Knoll to a point, said point being on the westerly side of Winding Road and being the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 14, of said South Knoll; Thence N 45° 1' E 310 feet to a point, said point being the most northerly corner of Lot 1, Block 12, of said South Knoll; Thence S 45° E 530 feet to a point, said point being the most south- easterly corner of Lot 5, Block 12, of said South Knoll; Thence, along the south line of Lot 5 in Block 12 across Winding Road to the southwest corner of Lot 12, Block 17, of said South Knoll; Thence, along the westerly line of Lot 12, Block 17, of said South Knoll 120 feet to a point, same being the northwest corner of Lot 12, in Block 17; Thence, in a westerly direction along the right of easement and the most northerly line of Lots 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 in Block 17 to a point, said point being the most northwesterly corner of Lot 17, in Block 17; Thence, in a southerly direction along the most westerly line of Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21 in Block 17, following the same course across Boswell Drive and continuing on the same course across said street to the northwest corner of Lot 5 in Block 22, and along the line being the most westerly line of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 in Block 22 to a point, said point being the most southwesterly corner of Lot 8, in Block 22, and continuing on the same course across the 12 -foot easement to a point; MET Thence, in a westerly direction along the easement as shown by said plat in a westerly direction and being parallel to the most southerly line of Lot 1, Block 22, across Lawyer Drive and Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6 in Block 23, to a point, said point being the most southwesterly corner of the South Knoll Addition; Thence N 44° 51• W 1750.7 feet, same being along the most westerly line of said South Knoll Addition to the PLACE OF BEGINNING: Same being Lots 1 and 2 in Block 15; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in Block 14; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Block 12; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, and 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, all in Block 17; Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Block 22; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 all in Block 18; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in Block 23; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 in Block 16; Together with dedicated streets and easements; And that the inhabitants thereof, from and after this date, shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the city.
