HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-0225 - Ordinance - 03/26/1956STANDARD B « P as p ORDINANCE NO. 225 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE LIMITS OF THE CITY INTO AND INCORPORATING THE SAME AS A PART OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION. TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter, the following territory shall be incorporated within the city limits: Beginning at the most southerly corner of the present city limits of the City of College Station, Texas. This corner also being located at the intersection of the northeast right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad with the southeast line of a county road. Thence N 45° E along the southeast line of said county road a distance of 3,552 feet to the west corner of Lot 5, Block 7 of The Knoll Addition to the City of College Station, Texas. Thence S 45° E along the southwest line of said Lot 5 a distance of 201 feet to the south corner of said Lot 5. Thence N 45° E along the boundary of The Knoll Addition a distance of 198 feet to the most southerly corner of Lot 3, Block 7 of The Knoll Addition. Thence S 45° E along the boundary lines of The Knoll Addition and South Knoll Addition a distance of 1,102 feet to a fence corner. This corner being the most easterly corner of the Alphonse Holik tract. Thence S 45° W along an old fence line between the said Holik tract and the Hubert Jones tract a distance of 3,059 feet to a fence corner. This corner being the most southerly corner of the Manual Watson tract. Thence N 45° W along a fg.nce line between the said Manual Watson tract and the Waldo Wacker tract a distance of 135 feet to a fence corner in the southwest line of the Manual Watson tract. Thence S 45° W along an old fence line bounding the Waldo Walker tract a distance of 1,150 feet to a point in the northeast right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad. kThence in a northeasterly direction along the northeast right-of-way line 4) of the Southern Pacific Railroad a distance of 1,239 feet to the point of beginning.
