AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING THE ALLEYS ON THE SOUTHSIDE OF LOTS:
18 AND 19 AND OPENING AN ALLEY THROUGH LOTS 20 AND 21, ALL SAID LOTS
BEING IN BLOCK 6 COLLEGE HILLS ESTATE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A DEED OF EXCHANGE FOR PROPERTY INVOLVED:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
1. The alleys on the southside of lots 18 and 23, Block 6, College
Hills Estate shall be and are hereby ordered to be vacated and closed.
2. An alley is hereby established and ordered to be opened through
lots 20 and 21, Block 6, College Hills Estate, said alley to be located
more specifically as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe at the south corner of lot 18, Block 6,
of the College Hills Estate;
THENCE in a southeasterly direction a distance of approximately
177 feet to the original pipe set for the common front corner of lots
20 and 21;
THELE in a southwesterly direction along the northwestline of
Francis Drive a distance of 12 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction a distance of approximately
117 feet to the east corner of lot 23, Block 6, of the said addition;
THENCE in a northeasterly direction a distance of approximately
12.5 feet to the Point of Beginning.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed
conveying the land in the abandon alleys referred to in Paragraph 1
above to Wm. A. Roney, Jr., in exchange for a conveyance by said W. A.
Roney to the City of College Station, Texas, for the land described in
Paragraph 2 above for use of the alley herein established.
Passed and approved this the 21 day of March A. D. 1955.
