ORDINANCE NO. 161
AN ORDINANCE ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL A VACANCY
AS ALDERMAN FROM WARD III.
Whereas, E. E. Ames has moved his place of residence
from Ward III which he represented as an alderman, and
by such removal has vacated his office as alderman.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of College Station that a special election be ordered
to be held to fill said vacancy as alderman from Ward III.
Said election shall be held at the City Hall in the City
of College Station between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 1951, and notice of said
election is hereby order to be published.
Managers of said election shall be Mrs. W. B. Clements and
Mrs. Lloyd D. Smith.
Passed and approved this 9th day of July, 1951.
