HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-0302 - Ordinance - 08/22/1960ORDINANCE NO. 302 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE LIMITS OF THE CITY INTO AND INCORPORATING THE SAME AS A PART OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, upon the compliance with Article 2, Section 7, City Charter, the folladng property shall be incorporated within the city limits, after notice of a hearing shall have been published in the official news- paper of the City of College Station, at least thirty days prior to a hearing to be established by the City Council, and that after said hearing the ordinance in its original or amended form, as the City Council may determine, shall be acted upon, and the territory, if annexed, shall be a part of the City of College Station, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the city. The territory to be annexed is described as follows, to -wit: BEGIN at a concrete monuement the north corner of the C. J. Gorzycki Tract in the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway 6; THENCE N. 450 W. with the right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6, a distance of 1420 feet more or less to..,a point in the center line of Pin Oak Creek; THENCE in a Westerly direction with the meanders of Pin Oak Creek to a point in the East right-of-way line of Cavitt Drive, the said meanders being the City Limit Line of Bryan; THENCE S. 080 W. with the East right-of-way line of Cavitt Drive a distance of 66 feet more or less to a point in the Northeast right-of-way line of State Highway FM 308; 00699 THENCE S. 440 30' 15" E. with the right-of-way line of State Highway FM 308 a distance of 2694 feet more or less to a point; ThkNCE N. 45° 00' E. a distance of 1887 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
