ORDINANCE NO. 272
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 210, SAID ORDINANCE KNOWN AS THE SUB-
DIVISION DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE, PRESCRIBING THEREIN A CHANGE IN SECTION 15-b
OF ORDINANCE NO. 210,\ AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPLICATION OF A MINIMUM OF ONE
INCH OF PLANT MIX SURFACING ON ALL NEW STREETS IN ALL NEW SUBDIVISIONS TO
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND REPEALING THAT PORTION OF ORDINANCE
NO. 210 CALLING FOR DOUBLE PENETRATION ASPHALT WEARING SURFACE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas:
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council that the
present requirements in Ordinance No. 210 for paving streets in new sub-
divisions is not in the best interest of the City of College Station; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that all new
streets in new subdivisions be developed with a minimum of one inch of plant
mix surfacing as approved by the City Engineer before said subdivision is
approved by the City;
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND ORDAINED that the specifications of the
City of College Station, Texas, require that developers apply a minimum of
one inch of.plant mix surfacing on all new streets in new additions.
Any ordinance or portions thereof in conflict herewith is hereby re -
‹i pealed, and the provisions of this ordinance, in case of conflict, shall
govern.
