HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-0269 - Ordinance - 08/27/1958ORDINANCE NO. 269 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE LIMITS OF THE CITY INTO AND INCORPORATING THE SAME AS A PART OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, lc upon the compliance with Article 2, Section 7, City Charter, the following property shall be incorporated within the city limits, after notice of a dhearing shall have been published in the official newspaper of the City of [W College Station, at least thirty days prior to a hearing to be established 0 by the City Council, and that after said hearing the ordinance in its orig- Z inal or amended form, as the City Council may determine, shall be acted up - ti on, and the territory, if annexed, shall be a part of the City of College w Station, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights i and privileges of other citizens, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, LC resolutions and regulations of the city. a. S The territory to be annexed is described as follows, to -wit: FIRST TRACT: Lying and being situated in the Richard Carter (1; Survey in Brazos County, Texas; and beginning at the most northerly corner of Woodland Estates Addition to the City of 0 College Station, Texas; CO THENCE N 45° E along the NW line of a tract of land now or formerly owned by H. P. Dansby, a distance of 5280 feet; THENCE S 45° E a distance of approximately 5154 feet to a point in the SE line of the Richard Carter Survey of Brazos County, Texas; THENCE S 45° W along the line between the Richard Carter Survey and the Morgan Rector Survey, a distance of 5280 feet to a point in the SE line of the Albert Dominik 153 acre tract. This point also being the most easterly corner of the Albert Dominik land taken into the city limits of the City of College Station, Texas, by Ordinance No. 231 dated May 30, 1956; THENCE N 450 W a distance of 5153.9 feet to the point of beginning. SECOND TRACT: Lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector Survey in Brazos County, Texas, and beginning at the inter- section of the NE right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 with the line between the Richard Carter Survey and the Morgan Rector Survey of Brazos County, Texas; 0)624 BOORUM & PEASE "N����R" ® THENCE N 45° E along the line between the Richard Carter Survey and the Morgan Rector Survey a distance of 10560 feet; THENCE S 45° E a distance of 1124 feet; THENCE S 45 W a distance of approximately 10560 feet to a point in the NE right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6; THENCE, in a NW direction along the NE right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 a distance of 1124 feet to point of beginning.
