AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF HIGHWAY 6 TO TEXAS AVENUE,
SPRING GREEN STREET TO PARK PLACE, SULPHUR SPRINGS ROAD TO
UNIVERSITY DRIVE, AND EXTENDING JERSEY STREET FROM FM 2154 TO
EASTERWOOD AIRPORT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, that pursuant to the authority under the charter of the City of College
Station, and the statutes of the State of Texas, the following streets were named
or re -named:
Highway 6 beginning at the northwesterly city limit line of the City of
College Station and extending to the southeasterly city limit line shall be changed
to Texas Avenue; and
Spring Green Street extending from the intersection of the present Park
Place and Anderson Street in an easterly direction until same intersects the
present Highway 6 shall be changed to Park Place; and
Sulphur Springs Road from the intersection of the present Highway 6 in
an easterly direction until same intersects the East By -Pass shall be changed
to University Drive; and
Extending Jersey Street from the intersection of FM 2154 in a westerly
direction to Easterwood Airport.

I, Florence Neelley, City Secretary of the City of College Station,
County of Brazos, State of Texas, do hereby certify that the above and
foregoing is a true and correct copy of an Ordinance passed and approved
by the City Council of said City on the 26th day of August, 1965, and is
now in file in my office and notice is hereby given of the passage of the
same in the manner and for the length of time as required by the Charter of
the City of College Station.
