recreation Program Evaluation
The figures on the attached sheet represent an estimation
of activity usa e. They provide a basis of study in which
the ;:ity of College Station recreation Dept. can evaluate
facility requirements, in order to maintain a quality rec—
reational experience for the community,it serves.
The existiniz facilities narrowly accommodate those
pro-,rairs which are currently scheduled. iowever. as interest
and pop+dation -rouTs and the value of the recreational ex—
perience becomes more apparent to an increasing; segment of
the population, the facilities -must also be expanded.
Also, it should be pointed out that with the development
of additional athletic facilities the City of College Station
could meet the requirements to host the regional and state—
wide tournaments held by such organizations as the Texas
Amateur Athletic .-ederati.on and Amateur Athletic Union.
These tournaments bring prestige and revenue into our i;ity
and the sport.
