Vol. 9, No. S2 Phone mei to be weather watch....n""10 Brazos County's Civil Defense program may gain a valuable new network of mobile weather watchers as the result of a safety meeting Tuesday (June 25) with General Telephone Company service person- nel. County Civil Defense Director Jake Cangelose made an hour-long presen- tation on tornado safety precautions and the impor- tance of on -scene reports in assisting radar observers to make specific identifica- tion of severe weather conditions such as hail, high winds and tornadoes. Thirty of the 40 telephone company ser- vicemen signed up for two -hours of training on how to recognize potent ly damaging weather t what to report to c defense authorities.
