05-8-91-04 - Resolution - 05/08/1991RESOLUTION NO. 0 5- 8- 91- 0 4 WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of a combined city/school. elec~on to be held on the 4th day of May, 1991, fo..r the purpose o..f electing three councilmembers to the College Station City Council and two trustees to the CSISD Board of Trustees; and, WHE~, it appears from said returns, .duly and legally made that a total of 872 valid ballots were cast at said combined election. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, That said elec~on was duly called, that notice of said election was given ~ accordance with law; that Larry I. Ringer, .Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign the statement of Canvass of General Election, which shall be attached to and become a part of this Resolution and a copy of which shall be retained by the custodian of the election records, and That, Fred Brown was duly elected to City Council Place 1; that Lynn Mcllhaney was d..ul, y elected to City Council Place 3; and that Jim Gardner was duly elected to Czty Council Place 5. Said above named.partie.s are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to the takingof their oaths ~f office as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of College Station.
