A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS
CONSENTING TO THE DESIGNATION OF THE CITY OF BRYAN, TEXAS,
AS THE LEAD AGENCY ACCEPTING THE TITLE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF
DESIGNATED RECIPIENT FOR THE CITIES OF COLLEGE STATION AND
BRYAN, TEXAS FOR URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION-ADMINISTRATION
(UMTA), UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SECTION 9
FUNDING AND ADMINISTRATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, UMTA regulation encourage a single public body be
the lead agency for an urbanized area consisting of more
than one city when such areas are requesting Section 9 UMTA
funds; and,
WHEREAS, the Cities of College Station and Bryan, Texas
desire to designate the City of Bryan as the lead agency and
Designated Recipient for Section 9 funds and administrative
responsibility;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. The City of Bryan, Texas is hereby designated
as the lead agency for purposes of Designated Recipient
status for UMTA Section 9 funds and for the administrative
responsibility thereof.
Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 14TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1991 BY
AFFIRMATIVE VOTE OF THE COLLEGE STATION CITY COUNCIL.
