A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
HANDBOOK SECTION A, SUBSECTION V(B), WITH REGARD TO POLICE
AND FIRE VACATION ACCRUAL.
WHEREAS, the City Council met on the 14th day of February,
1991, to consider proposed changes to the Policies and
Procedures Handbook, Section A, Policies, shall be amended
as follows:
Subsection V-B, Annual Leave (Vacations), shall be amended
by deleting the second paragraph thereof and inserting the
following:
Police and Fire employees' vacation periods must be
scheduled with and approved by the Chief of the respective
department. Commissioned police officers and Fire
department personnel will accrue the following:
Police - Upon Completion of:
Accrual:
One year
2-18 years
19 years and over
80 hours
120 hours
160 hours
Fire - Upon Completion of:
Accrual:
One year
2-18 years
19 years and over
5 shifts
7 shifts
9 shifts
