01-10-91-2.2 - Resolution - 01/10/1991RESOLUTION No. 1-10-91-2.2 CITY OF COLLEGE STATION WHEREAS, The City of College Station has conducted a major study and a master plan to provide for the development of the Wolf Pen Creek Corridor; and WHEREAS, The City of College Station recognizes the interrelationship of drainage, erosion and recreation as they apply to the Wolf Pen Creek Corridor; and WHEREAS, The City of College Station desires to improve certain portions of the Wolf Pen Creek channel and drainage basin to create a community attraction for College Station residents and out-of-town guests; and WHEREAS, The City of College Station agrees to accept responsibility for the cost of construction and operation of the proposed improvements; and WHEREAS, The City of College Station has ownership of the bed and banks of Wolf Pen Creek within the project boundaries; and WHEREAS, The City of College desires to make application for appropriate state water right, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: Section 1: That the Director of Parks and Recreation be and is hereby duly authorized to make application for the use of state water for Wolf Pen Creek and its tributaries within the City limits of the City of College Station. Section 2: Effective date: This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of College Station.
