/T;-:~ ~EREAS, the City of College Station having determined ~'
~.~ "32'~ the necessity of acquiring a 0.572 acre tract for use ~'~,
J'.~ as a park and the extension of Eleanor Street for the
.:}.~,.~ Lincoln Center/Wayne Smith Park Corridor Master Plan;
,~ ~'~' and
~'~-'-.'-'~' WHEREAS, the City Council having determined that it is
'..:*"~ necessary to acquire the public access described in ~.~,,,
~-'~ Exhibit "A" attached to this Resolution and that the
~, _' public need requires the acquisition of same in such ; ....
,,.?._,~ manner as to make the property available for lawful use ,~

[..---, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of

Metes and bounds description of all that certain 0.572 acre tract or parcel
of land, lying and being situated in the Crawfo,'d Burnett League, Abstract No.
?, College Station, Brazes County, Texas, and being all that same called 0.61 acre
tract conveyed Edward V. Hrdlieka, et ux, to Lonnie Thompson, et ux, as
described by deed recorded in VOLUME 96, PAGE 221 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas, said 0.572 acre tract being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod set for corner in the northeast right-of-way
line of Wellborn Road, and being also the so,th corner of the remainder of that
same called 0.34 acre tract conveyed from Edward V. Hrdlicka, et ux, to Beatrice
Campbell, as described by deed recorded in VOI,U.~IE 96, PAGE 431 of the Deed
Records of Brazes County, Texas.
THENCE N 60' 10' 38" E - 386.71 feet with the northwest line of a lane to
a 1/2" iron rod set for corner, and being the east corner of that same tract
referred to as "First Tract" and conveyed from Bertha Steen to Billie J. Smedley,
as described by deed recorded in VOLUME 1202, PAGE 61 ol~ the Official Records
of Brazes County, Texas.
THENCE S 49' 41' 15" E - 84.84 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set for corner at
the base of a fence post, and being the west corner of that same 0.25 acre tract
conveyed from Odessa Harris Blue to erie Walker as described by deed recorded
in VOLUME 893, PAGE 584 of the Official Records of Brazes County, Texas.
THENCE S 49° 49' 38" E - 59.61 feet with an old fence line to a 3/8" iron
rod found for corner at a cross fence, said corner being also the north corner
of that same called 0.19 acre tract conveyed from Ernest Densey, III, to A. P.
Boegner, as described by deed recorded in VOLUME 620, PAGE 526 of the Official
Records of Brazes County, Texas.
THENCE S 42° 45' 07" W - 152.65 feet with the southeast line of said called
0.61 acre tract to a 1/2" iron rod found for corner.
THENCE N 30° 31' 40" W - 166.94 feet to a 1/2" iron rod found for corner.
TIIENCE S 59* 08' 19" W - 288.29 feet with the southeast line of said land
1o a 1/2" iron rod set for corner in the northwest right-of-way line of Wellborn
Road.
THENCE N 29' 48' 05" W - 19.82 feet with said right-of-way line to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containin~ 0.572 acres of land.
