06-25-92-1.5 - Resolution - 06/25/1992RESOLUTION NO. 6-25-92-1.5 A RESOLUTION REVISING THE FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR LICENSING DOGS AND CATS; PROVIDING CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT AND COLLECTION OF THE REQUIRED FEES; PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF IMPOUNDMENT AND ADOPTION FEES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PART OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of College Station adopted Ordinance No. 1421 relating to the control of animals and fowl; and WHEREAS, said ordinance does not have set forth therein the specific amounts that will be charged for licenses; and WHEREAS, said ordinance does not provide for the specific conditions of payment and collection of said required fees; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that these fees be set and the conditions of their payment and ocllection be provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION: That the fees to be charged for the annual licenses and permits set forth below, within the City of College Station, shall be as follows: Type of Fee ~e License Fee - Dog or Cat Duplicate License Fee - Dog or Cat Delinquent Fee - Dog or Cat Special Permits under Sec B(7) $ 7.00 1.00 10.00 25.00 That the dog or cat license shall cover a period of one (1) year from the date of issuance. In the event the license tag is lost, a duplicate may be obtained upon presentation of a valid vaccination certificate and the payment of the prescribed fee. The fees for dog or cat licenses shall be paid to and collected by such persons as are designated by the City Manager to collect such fees. Any such fees not timely paid shall be subject to a delinquent fee as set out above. That the fees to be charged for impoundment or adoption of animals, other than cattle, horses, cows and other livestock, shall be set by the Brazos Animal Shelter pursuant to it~ shelter management policy. That all other ordinances or parts of ordinance~ in conflict with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to tl~e extent of the conflict with the provisions of this resolution only. APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of College Station on this the 25th day of Jun~, 1992.
