12-9-93-4.8 - Resolution - 12/09/1993RESOLUTION NO. 12-9-93-4.8 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES INSPECTIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE BRAZOS COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE FOOD SERVICE, RETAIL FOOD AND DAY CARE CENTER(S) INSPECTION SERVICES. WHEREAS, Environmental Health Services Inspections are a vital part of the overall health maintenance of the community; and, WHEREAS, the City of College Station has contracted with the County Health Unit for health inspection services within the city limits; and, WHEREAS, the fees charged have become incapable of sustaining the desired level of inspection services so as to protect the community; and, WHEREAS, it is in the vital public interest to provide continued operation of public health inspection services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas THAT, the following rates are hereby established for annual permits for the inspection of and regulation of health inspection services within the City of College Station: Type of Establishment Total Floor Area (Sq. Ft.) Fee Eating and Drinking (New Application/Plan Review $25 Eating and Drinking 0 to 2,999 $75 3,000 to 4,999 $100 5,000 to 14,999 $125 15,000 and over $175 Retail Food (Grocery) 0 to 2,999 $75 3,000 to 4,999 $100 5.000 to 14,999 $125 15,000 and over $175 Drinking Only $75 School $75 Type of Establishment Total Floor Area (Sq. Ft.) Fee Day Care Centers $20 Temporary Basis (not more than 14 consecutive days at a fixed location) $20 THAT the Brazos County Health Department is hereby authorized to provide inspection services for eating and/or drinking establishments, schools, retail food establishments, day care centers, and non-residential swimming pools, such enumeration not to be considered es an exclusive listing. THAT an applicant for a food service permit who is establishing a new business during the year may have the fee prorated, upon a request, on a monthly basis for the remaining portion of such initial year. THAT those Home Occupation establishments are exempted from payment of permit fees. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 9th day December, 1993. ~c'r~/"Secretary -
