A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING S.B. 1021 AND H.B. 2504
REGARDING THE ALLOCATION OF AD VALOREM TAX PAID
ON COMMERCIAL PASSENGER AIRCRAFT.
WHEREAS S.B. 1021 and H.B. 2504 have been introduced in the
Texas Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the proposed legislation will require that the total
market value of a commercial air carrier that is taxable by each
taxing unit be determined according to the ratio of the number of
departures of the aircraft from the taxing unit bears to the total
departures of the aircraft in the state; and
WHEREAS, such legislation would be in the best interest of the
citizens of College Station;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of College Station that it supports S.B. 1021 and H.B. 2504
regarding the allocation of ad valorem tax paid on commercial
passenger aircraft.
