WHE~, there came to be considered the returns of a combined c~ty/school
elec~on held on the 1st day o~ May, 1993, for the purpose o~
electing three councflmembers to the College Station City Council
and two trustees to the CSISD Board of Trustees. ~..~
WHEREAS, it appears from said returns, duly and legally made that a total of
8436 valid ballots were cast at said combined election.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That said election was duly called, that notice of said election was given
in accordance with law;, that said election was held in accordance with law;, and
that Larry J. Ringer, Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign the statement of
Canvass of General Election, which shall be attached to and become a part of
this Resolution and a copy of which shall be retained by the custodian of the
election records, and
That Fred Brown was duly elected to City Council Place 1; that Lynn
Mcnhaney was duly elected to City Council Place 3; and that David Hickson
was duly elected to City Council Place 5.
Said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective
offices, subject to the taking of their oaths of office as provided by the laws of
the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of College Station.
