12-8-94-R-9 - Resolution - 12/08/1994q so[ution RESOLUTION NO. t2-8-94-R-9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION AND TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY ESTABLISHING THE INTENT AND DIRECTION REGARDING CERTAIN COOPERATIVE PROJECTS FOR THE NORTHGATE AREA AS SET OUT BELOW. WHEREAS, Texas A&M University and the City Council of the City of College Station (City) wish to promote the revitalization and stabilization of the area of College Station commonly referred to as Northgate, and WHEREAS, it is agreed by both governing bodies that the revitalization of the Northgate area is a vital goal that can only mutually benefit and impact the City of College Station and Texas A&M University due to Northgate's close proximity to TAMU as well as its dch history, unique character, and important role in the development of College Station and Texas A&M University, and VVHEREAS, it is agreed by both governing bodies that the Northgate area involves the safety and health of the citizens of College Station as well as students of Texas A&M University; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT OF TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION: That designated staff members from the City and TAMU prepare an interlocal agreement for consideration to provide a joint revitalization planning study funded by both entities be undertaken according to the terms to be negotiated by the staffs.
