02-24-94-3.17 - Resolution - 02/24/1994A RESOLUTION BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION AND COLLEGE STATION INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT IN AN ATTEMPT TO WISELY EXPEND TAX DOLLARS BY COOPERATION IN JOINT VENTURES INVOLVING SUCH THINGS AS PURCHASES OF EQUIPMENT AND LAND, OR IN CONTRACTING FOR AND PROVIDING SERVICES. WHEREAS, the City of College Station and College Station Independent School District, in an effort to promote the general welfare of our community, feel the need to enter into a joint school-community planning venture; and WHEREAS, attempts will be made to cultivate a spirit of cooperation between the City and School District administration in order that tax dollars may be saved by working cooperatively in joint ventures; and WHEREAS, clear lines of communication between these two entities must be established and maintained with special attention being given to the kinds of services provided by each; and WHEREAS, procedures need to be developed to reach agreements when joint ventures present themselves. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of College Station and the Board of College Station Independent School District enter into this agreement to join forces in an attempt to maximize tax dollars by working jointly on purchases and services as stated above.
