RESOLUTION NO.0 4 - 13-9 5-P- 1
WHEREAS, the City Council of College Station, Texas, respectfully recognizes the loss
of James H. Dozier, an admired and beloved citizen who passed away on March 28, 1995;
and
WHEREAS, James H. Dozier served as City Attorney from 1972-1974 and City
Councilmember from 1968-1971 and 1974-1981. Councilman Dozier worked to allow
college professors the opportunity to run for city offices and firmly supported Tort
Reform. He faithfully devoted years of selfless service to the community of College
Station, Texas; and
WHEREAS, James H. Dozier courageously served his country, being a veteran of World
War II, and
WHEREAS, James H. Doziefs honesty, integrity and wisdom indelibly impacted this
community..
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that this Council record its appreciation
for the contributions made to this city and its people by James H. Dozier and that this
resolution be made a part of the minutes of this meeting and that a copy of this resolution
be forwarded to Mrs. James H. Dozier.
