03-23-95-C-5 - Resolution - 03/23/1995q sofution 03-23-95-C-5 RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation has previously requested the City of College Station enter into a contractual agreement and acquire Right of Way for the highway project on Texas Avenue from University Drive to Dominik Street; and WHEREAS, the City desires to voluntarily contribute to the State funds equal to ten (10) percent of the cost of the said Right of Way for the proper development and construction of the project; and WHEREAS, the completion of the improvement to Texas Avenue is crucial to the enhancement of circulation and safety; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of College Station, Texas, that the City of College Station, Texas, accepts responsibility for ten (10) percent of the cost of said Right of Way, which is currently estimated at $26,000 for the improvement of Texas Avenue from University Drive to Dominik Street. TxDot will be responsible for acquiring all property required for the project. Acquisition procedures will be in accordance with policies of the Texas Department of Transportation and with applicable Federal and State laws governing the acquisition policies for acquiring real property. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation on behalf of the City of College Station.
