A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER 14, SECTION 2, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION RELATING TO SERV-
ICE FEES FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station City Council has determined that certain
services performed for members of the public should be charged for the benefit
of the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
College Station that the following fee schedule is adopted for the services
provided by the City of College Station Police Department:
The following services provided by the City of College Station Police
Department shall be paid for by the recipient of those services, the fee for
which shall as follows:
1. Police Department Fees:

Police Department records checks provided to citizens upon
request. Governmental agencies making such requests
shall be exempt from the provisions of this section. $2.00
per check and verification.
Requests for accident reports prepared by the Police
Department. $4.00 per report, as provided by Tex. Rev.
Stat. art. 6701d, ~j47(d), as amended.
(c)
Requests for other records and reports, not accident reports,
that are not excepted from public disclosure by one or more
provisions of the Texas Open Records Act and that were
prepared by or in the custody of the Police Department.
Copies of such other Police Department records shall be
provided to citizens upon request at the costs established by
the State General Services Commission for copies of docu-
ments produced pursuant to the Texas Open Records Act,
except that there will be no charge for requests for copies of
ten or fewer pages of readily available documents.
(d)
Police Department escort services for other than emergency
services: $100.00 per escort on any escort that requires two
or less officers that lasts less than one hour. If any
additional officers are required, there will be a $50.00 per
hour charge for each additional officer required. If the
escort lasts over an hour, there will be an additional charge
of $50.00 per hour for each officer required. Time counted
as part of the escort shall include any waiting time for the
officers from the time they were originally requested until the
time they finish the escort. Fees charged shall be in one

hour increments only. Any portion of an hour shall be
charged the full hour. How many officers are required for an
escort shall be determined by the Chief of Police or his
designee.
