RESOLUTION NO. 05-10-95-01
WHEREAS,
there came to be considered the returns of a combined city
council and school board of trustees/bond election held on the
6th day of May, 1995, for the purpose of electing three
councilmembers to the College Station City Council,
considering the sale of park land, and three trustees to the
CSlSD Board of Trustees, and a bond proposition for school
district,
WHEREAS, it appears from said returns, duly and legally made that a total
of 3542 valid ballots were cast at said combined election.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That each of the candidates for councilman places 1, 3, and 5 and the
proposition for sale of park land on the City of College Station ballot,
received the following number of votes in said election:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That said election was duly called, that notice of said election was
given in accordance with law; that said election was held in accordance
with law; and that Larry J. Ringer, Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign the
statement of Canvass of General Election, which shall be attached to and
become a part of this Resolution and a copy of which shall be retained by
the custodian of the election records, and

That Bill Fox was duly elected to Council Place 1; that Lynn
Mcllhaney was duly elected to City Council Place No. 3; and that David
Hickson was duly elected to City Council Place No. 5; and the proposition
for the sale of park land carried.
Said above-named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said
respective offices, subject to the taking of their oath of office and statement
of officer as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of
the City of College Station.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 10TH DAY OF MAY, 1995.
