RESOLUTION NO. 6-13-96-4-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS, BRAZOS COUNTY, STATE OF TEXAS, APPOINTING
THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE AUGUST 10, 1996 SPECIAL CITY
COUNCIL ELECTION, SETTING THE RATE OF PAY FOR OFFICIALS AND
THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CLERKS FOR ONE POLLING PLACE.
DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACE IS HEREBY ESTABLISHED IN THE
NOTICE OF ELECTION, ATTACHED HERETO AS PART OF THIS
RESOLUTION.
Whereas, on August 10, 1996, the City Council of the City of College Station
ordered an election to be held on August 10, 1996 at its regular meeting of May
23, 1996, for the purpose of electing a councilmember to fill the vacancy in the
position of Council Place 3;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, THAT:
The following individuals, registered voters of Brazos County and College Station,
Texas, shall be and are hereby appointed to serve in the said election:
Polling Place No. 34: College Station City Hall, 1101 South Texas
Avenue

Alternate Judge:

In accordance with Section 32.091 of the Texas Election Code, the judges and
clerks shall be paid at the rate of $6.00 per hour and the election judges shall
receive an additional $25.00 for delivery of the returns of the election.
There shall be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 clerks at this polling place,
which includes the alternate election judge.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
TO THE REGISTERED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
Pursuant to Election Code, Section 42.061(a), 42.061(b), and 43.004, the
College Station City Council designates the following city voting precinct
to serve as a central location of voting for this special election, more
commonly known as City Voting Precinct No. 34, College Station City Hall,
1101 South Texas Avenue. All registered voters within the city limits of
College Station are eligible to vote at this location on election day, August
10, 1996.
Notice is hereby given that the polling place listed below will be open from
7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 1996 for voting in the city
special election to elect a City Councilman, Place 3.
City Votin.q Precinct No. 34 (consisting of City Voting Precincts and County
Voting Precincts (2, 8, 9, 10, 20, 21, 24, 27, 29B, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 39, 40, 58,
59, 61, 62, 64, 71, 73, 75, 83) at the College Station City Hall, 1101 South Texas
Avenue, College Station, Texas.
Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at the
College Station City Hall, 1101 South Texas Avenue, College Station, Texas,
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. beginning on Monday, July 22,
1996 and ending Tuesday, August 6, 1996.
Applications for ballot by mail shall be mailed to:

Conforme al codigo electoral, Seccion 42.061(a), 42.061(b), y 43.004, el Consejo
Municipal de la Ciudad de College Station designa el siguiente prescinto electoral de
votacion que sirva como lugar central de votacion para esta eleccion especial, este lugar
es mejor conocido como Prescinto Electoral de Votacion de la Ciudad No. 34, hubicado
en el Edificio de la Municipalidad de College Station, 1101 South Texas Avenue, College
Station, Texas. Todo los votantes registrados dentro de los limites de la Ciudad de
College Station tienen derecho a votar en este sitio durante el dia de la eleccion, 10 de
Agosto de 1996.

Votacion anticipada temprana se efectuara en los dias laborales de Lunes a Viemes, en el
Edificio de la Municipalidad de College Station, 1101 South Texas Avenue, College
Station, Texas. Las votaciones anticipadas se llevaran a cabo entre las horas de 8:00a.m.
y 5:00p.m. a partir del Lunes, 22 de Julio de 1996 y concluyendo el Martes, 6 de Agosto
de 1996.
