RESOLUTION NO. 7-q~-96-6-C
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, DECLARING SUPPORT FOR THE
SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION FOR THE "LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM" TO THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS,
BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas supports
the submission of the grant application; and,
WHEREAS, the City of College Station and it's citizens would benefit t?om
the acceptance and award of the grant funds by impacting the underage
consumption of alcohol in "on premise" licensed establishments and promote
a safer environment for all; and,
WHEREAS, the City of College Station residents surveyed in 1996
responded that enforcement of alcohol related offenses should be a priority
for the College Station Police;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the City Council of College Station,
Texas, that;
The City of College Station fully supports and endorses the submission of the
grant application and the proposal submitted for fired utilization.
