A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE PURCHASE OF A 2.4483 ACRE TRACT
IN THE J. W. JONES SURVEY, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, authorized the
bidding at public auction of land for an industrial incubator site; and
WHEREAS, the property was purchased at the tax sale held on May 7, 1996, by
the Brazos County Appraisal District for a purchase price of $171,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS that the purchase of 2.4483 acres, more
or less, being the remainder of a 3.39 acre tract out of the J.W. Jones Survey,
Abstract 148, described in Volume 384, page 456, Deed Records; save and except
.9417 acres conveyed in Volume 870, page 748, Deed Records of Brazos County,
Texas, for the purchase price of $171,000.00 is hereby ratified subject to
determination that title is free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
