RESOLUTION NO. 8-8-96-6-q
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE FEES FOR CERTAIN SERVICES PROVIDED
BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORIZATION FOR
SUCH FEES SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 14, SECTIONS 1 AND 2, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station City Council has determined that certain
services performed for members of the public should be charged for the benefit
of the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
College Station that the following fee schedule is adopted for the services
provided by the City of College Station Police Department:
The following services provided by the City of College Station Police Department
shall be paid for by the recipient of those services, the fees for which shall be as
follows:
Requests for College Station conviction records check: $2.00 per check
and verification. Records checks can only be provided, upon proof of
identification, to the person whose record is being checked or to an
authorized representative with a signed release from the individual whose
record is being checked. A certified letter confirming the individual's local
conviction record may be provided upon request for an additional $2.00
charge.
Requests for copies of accident reports, Forms ST-3, prepared by the
Police Department: $4.00 per report, and $2.00 additional for certified
copies, as provided by the TEX. TRANSP. CODE ANN. § 550.065 (Vernon
1996 pamphlet), as amended by Section 1 of Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch.
894.
Requests for public information other than conviction records and acci-
dent reports that is maintained by the Police Department and is not
otherwise excepted from public disclosure by one or more provisions of
the Texas Public Information Act, as amended: Copies of such other
public information shall be provided to citizens upon request at the cost
established by the State General Services Commission for copies of
documents produced pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, except
that there will be no charge for copies of ten or fewer pages of readily
available information.

Requests for Police Department escort services for other than emergency
services: $100.00 per escort on any escort that requires two or less offi-
cers that lasts less than one hour. If any additional officers are required,
there will be a $50.00 per hour charge for each additional officer required.

If the escort lasts over an hour, there will be an additional charge of
$50.00 per hour for each officer required. Time counted as part of the
escort shall include any waiting time for the officers from the time they
were originally requested until the time they finish the escort. Fees
charged shall be in one hour increments only. Any portion of an hour
shall be charged the full hour. The number of officers required for an
escort shall be determined by the Chief of Police or his designee.
Requests for fingerprinting: $10.00 per person as authorized by TEX.
LAB. CODE ,Z~J~IN. § 80.001(b) (Vernon Supp. 1996), as amended. Children
under the age of fifteen (15) shall be exempt from the payment require-
ment.
