A RESOLUTION ALrrHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE MAINTENANCE, CONTROL, SUPERVISION AND REGULATION OF
CERTAIN STATE HIGHWAYS AND/OR PORTIONS OF STATE HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION.
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of Februmy, 1997, the City Council met in its regular meeting and
considered a proposed agreement with the State of Texns for the maintenance, control, supervision and
regulation of certain State I-Iighways and/or portions of State Highways in the City of College Station;
WHEREAS, most of College Station's major thoroughfares are State Highways;
WHEREAS, it is important that both the City and the State know who is responsible for maintenance and
opomtion of streets and thoroughfare facilities inside the city limits;
WHEREAS, this agreement delineates the responsibilities of the City and the State with regard to
maintenance of these facilities.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS THAT:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said agreement with the State of Texas for the maintenance,
control, supervision and regulation of eermin State Highways and/or portions of State Highways in the
City of College Station.
