RESOLUTION NO. 10-23-97-5-i
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS, DECLARING SUPPORT AND AUTHORIZATION
FOR THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION AND
AGREEMENT TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION SEEK1NG A FY97-98 D.W.I. STEP GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of College Station supports D.W.I.
enforcement and education efforts; and,
WHEREAS, the citizens of College Station would benefit by reducing the
number of alcohol related accidents and the increase of arrests for D.W.I.
offenders; and,
WHEREAS, the City of College Station and it's citizens would benefit from
supplemental and specific enforcement efforts without additional expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the City Council of College
Station, Texas that;
The City Council of College Station, Texas authorizes the Mayor to sign
this resolution and the grant contract agreement documents.
Passed and Approved this 23rd day of October, 1997.
