A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE SWITCH STATION
TRANSFORMER ADDITION, 138 KV CIRCUIT SWITCHER REPLACEMENT, AND 138
KV METERING REVISIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, has received bids for the
Switch Station Transformer Addition, 138 kv Circuit Switcher Replacement, and 138 kv Metering
Revisions; and
WHEREAS, a construction contract for the Switch Station Transformer Addition, 138 kv Circuit
Switcher Replacement, and 138 kv Metering Revisions has been signed and completed by the
Contractor; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
PART 1:
That the City Council hereby approves the contract with Dacon Corporation
for $398,909.87 for the labor, materials, and equipment plus City furnished
materials in the amount of $771,645.50 for a total bonded contract amount of
$1,170,555.37 to modify the ring bus including distribution bays and associated
relay equipment in CS Switch Station; change out circuit switcher in Post Oak
Mall Substation; and the installation into 138 kv ring bus at Greens Prairie and
Southwood Valley Substation in accordance with technical plans and
specifications detailed in Bid No. 99-87.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby finds that Dacon Corporation is the lowest
responsible bidder.
PART 3: That the funding for this project shall be as budgeted from Utility Bond Funds,
Project No. ET9801.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take eff'ect immediately from and after its passage.
