A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE WATER PRODUCTION CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING A WATER WELL, COOLING TOWERS, TRANSFER
PUMP AND TRANSMISSION PIPELINE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, authorized the negotiation of
professional services contracts; and
WHEREAS, a contract for professional services has been signed and completed by Malcolm
Pimie, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves the contract with Malcolm Pimie, Inc. for
an amount not to exceed $1,230,000.00, for engineering design and construction management of
the water production capital improvements including a water well, cooling towers, transfer pump
and transmission pipeline.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby finds that Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. is the most highly
qualified provider of the services for engineering design and construction management of the
water production capital improvements including a water well, cooling towers, transfer pump and
transmission pipeline on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualifications.
PART 3: That the funding for this project shall be as budgeted from the Water Fund Capital
budget $1,230,000.00.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
