A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE INTEGRATED ATTRACTIONS PLAN PROPOSED BY
THE SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS COMMITTEE OF THE BRYAN/COLLEGE
STATION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, has viewed a
presentation by the Special Attractions Committee of the Bryan-College Station Chamber
of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Linear Park, Urban Entertainment Centers, Museum Clusters
and Campus Tours of that Integrated Attractions Plan fit with the City Council's goal of
providing education and entertainment for visitors to our community in order to enhance
tourism; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby supports the community-wide efforts to
establish the proposed Linear Park, Urban Entertainment Centers, Museum Clusters and
Campus Tours.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby agrees to appoint two representatives to the
Attractions Task Force, whose purpose is to pursue establishment of the Linear Park,
Urban Entertainment Centers, Museum Clusters and Campus Tours.
