A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS, DECLARING SUPPORT FOR AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO
APPLY FOR A GRANT TO ADDRESS "ENFORCING UNDERAGE DRINKING
LAWS", ADMINISTERED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE
GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City of College Station recognizes the dangers associated with alcoholic
beverages and persons under the legal drinking age, and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station recognizes that in the 1999 survey, it's citizens
felt that it was "very important" (75.7%) and "somewhat important" (17.2%) to enforce
alcohol related violations other than DoW&
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the City Council of College Station, Texas, that;
The City of College Station supports the application for grant funding to help address the
problem of underage alcohol possession and consumption. The City of College Station
gives it's assurance that in the event of loss or misuse of CJD funds, such funds will be
returned to CJD in full.
