RESOLUTION NO. 5-11-95-C-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, DECLARING SUPPORT FOR THE SUBMITTAL OF BID FOR THE 1997
ANNUAL STATE CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION OF MAYORS,
COUNCILMEMBERS AND COMMISSIONERS INSTITUTE (AMCC).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station supports the submission of
bid for the 1997 AMCC State Conference; and,
WHEREAS, the City of College Station would benefit from the acceptance of this bid
by promoting our cities as well as provide an ideal opportunity for the cities to
showcase Bryan/College Station as a meeting site and tourism destination; and,
WHEREAS, the City of College Station along with the Bryan/College Station
Convention and Visitors Bureau recognize the positive economic impact this
conference will bring to the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of College Station, Texas,
that;
The City of College Station fully supports and endorses the Convention and Visitors
Bureau's bid for hosting the AMCC conference; and,
The Convention and Visitors Bureau is authorized to prepare and submit the bid and
confer with College Station on the results of this process.
