10-28-21-9.7 - Resolution - 10/28/2021 RESOLUTION NO. 10-28-21-9.7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, CREATING A 2022 BOND CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station wishes to hold a bond election in November of 2022; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it is advisable to form a 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee to help prioritize a list of projects that could be funded from a 2022 bond election ; and WHEREAS, the City Council is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to serve on the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee will work closely with City staff throughout the process of creating a prioritized list of projects; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that public involvement results in a stronger and more transparent process; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That the City Council of the City of College Station hereby creates the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee. PART 2: That the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee shall consider and prioritize all capital projects, including transportation, parks and facilities projects. PART 3: That the City Council of the City of College Station gives the committee the following charge: “to assess the City of College Station’s current and future transportation, parks, and facility needs in order to present a prioritized list of projects to the College Station City Council to be considered on a proposed 2022 bond election, and to ensure that any 2022 Bond timeline and/or schedule shall not exceed five (5) years.” PART 4: That the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee shall consist of no more than Twenty Three (23) members. PART 5: That the City Council of the City of College Station shall appoint all members of the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee, including the chair and co-chair. PART 6: That the 2022 Bond Citizen Advisory Committee shall formally and officially disband and/or sunset on August 1, 2022 or when the Committee presents their final list of recommended projects to the College Station City Council, whichever occurs first. PART 7: That this Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this 28th day of October, 2021.
