AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P. M.
on February 22, 1971 on the question of receiving certain territory into the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto,
has determined the following:
Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter and applicable
laws of the State of Texas, the following territory shall be incorporated within the city limits:
TRACT NO. 71-1
BEGINNING at the corner of the present City of College Station corporate
limits, said corner being further described as bearing North 450 East a
distance of 619. 5 feet from the most easterly corner of Lot 97 of the
Beverly Estates Addition to the City of Bryan;
THENCE along the northwest line of the Mrs. Fannie Putz, 200 acre
tract, bearing North 450 East a distance of 967 feet, more or less,
to the most northerly corner of the said Mrs. Fannie Putz, 200 acre
tract;
THENCE along the northeasterly line of the Mrs. Fannie Putz, 200
acre tract, bearing South 450 East a distance of 1,174 feet, more or
less, to the most northerly corner of the City of Bryan, 0.45 acre
tract, described by deed filed in Volume 250 on Page 369 of the Brazos
County Deed Records;
THENCE along the boundary of the said City of Bryan, 0.45 acre tract;
the City of Bryan, 1.20 acre tract, described by deed filed in Volume 137
on Page 230 of the Brazos County Deed Records and the City of Bryan,
50 acre tract, described by deed filed in Volume 133 on Page 607 of the
Brazos County Deed Records as follows:
Along the northwesterly line of the 0.45 acre tract, bearing South 450
West a distance of 56.5 feet; along the westerly lines of the 0.45 and
1. 20 acre tracts, bearing South 450 East a distance of 105 feet; bearing
South 70 24' West a distance of 54. 9 feet and bearing South 450 East a
distance of 631.5 feet and along the southeasterly line of the 1.20 and
50 acre tracts and an extension thereof bearing North 450 East a distance
of 4,413 feet, more or less, to a point for corner;

THENCE South 450 East a distance of 1, 314 feet to a point for corner
said point being further described as the most northeasterly corner of
the present City of College Station corporate limit;
THENCE along the present City of College Station corporate limits and
the following bearings and distances; South 450 West, 5,280 feet, North
450 West 3,258 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 202.76
acres, more or less.
TRACT NO. 71-2
BEGINNING at a concrete monument in the West right of way line of
State Highway 6 which point is identified as Station No. 25+00 on Sheet
No. 23 of the plans for State Federal Aid Project F-471, said point
being approximately 700 feet northwest of the southeast boundary line
of the Crawford Burnett League, and also a point in the northeast boundary
line of the Roy W. Kelly tract; and further identified as being the most easterly
corner of Tract 1 in Ponderosa Place, a subdivision, as shown on the pre-
liminary plat dated October, 1970;
THENCE S 520 47' W perpendicular to the West right of way line of
State Highway 6 a distance of 500 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction parallel to and 500 feet West of the
reviseca State Hignway b westeriy right of way line to a point, said point
aeing a corner in the present city limit line;
THENCE N 440 53' E along the present city limit line a distance of
500 feet to a point, said point further described as being the intersection
of the South right of way line of FM 2818 and the West right of way line
of State Highway 6;
THENCE N 440 53' E continuing along said existing city limit line a distance
of 100 feet to a point for a corner in the northeast right of way line of State
Highway 6;
THENCE S 450 17' E along the northeast right of way of State Highway 6 a
distance of approximately 2240 feet to a point for a corner, said point further
described as being the point of intersection of the northeast right of way line
of State Highway 6 and the west right of way line of State Highway 6 By-pass;
THENCE, in a southwesterly direction across State Highway 6 approximately
210 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE S 370 25' E a distance of 1, 077.45 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE S 400 52' E a distance of 702.2 feet to a point for a corner; THENCE,
S 370 06' 20" E a distance of 500 feet to the place of beginning and containing
50.1 acres more or less.
TRACT NO, 71-3 BEGINNING at a corner in the present boundary of the City
of College Station corporate limits, said corner being further described as bearing
N 440 47' E a distance of 1, 879.46 feet from an iron rod in the East right of way
line of Texas Avenue, said iron rod markirg the most southwesterly corner of the
Richards Addition to the City of College Station;

THENCE N 460 14' W a distance of 398. 96 feet to a point in the
present city limits line for a corner;
THENCE N 440 42.2' E along the present city limits line, a distance
of approximately 5, 940 feet to a point for a corner, sai d point also
being 500 feet East of the East right of way line of the Highway 6 By-pass;
THENCE along a line in a southerly direction parallel to and a distance
of 500 feet from the East right of way of the Highway 6 By-pass to a
point 500 feet from and parallel to a Texas Highway Department right
of way marker, located at Texas Highway Department station number
684+70. 6 in the East right of way line of Highway 6;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction across Highway 6 a distance of approxi-
mately 740 feet to a point in the West right of way line of Highway 6; said
point further described as being a concrete right of way marker located
at Texas Highway Department station number 25+50 of the southbound lane
of Highway 6;
THENCE along the revised westerly right of way of Highway 6 as
defined by Sheet No. 23 of the State Federal Aid Project No. F-471,
the following bearings and distances: N 830 53' 55" W 68.45 feet, N 370
06' W 500 feet, N 400 52' W 702 feet, N 370 25' W 1077.45 feet to a point
for a corner; said point further described as being a concrete right of way
marker located at Station 2+00 of the southbound lane of Highway 6;
THENCE in a Northeast direction across Highway 6 approximately 210
feet to a point for a corner, said point also being a corner of the present
city limits line located in the Northeast line of Highway 6 and the West
line of Highway 6 By-pass;
THENCE along the West right of way line of the Highway 6 By-pass, same
being the present city limit line, in a northerly direction until said line
intersects a line that is 2000 feet from and parallel to the East right of
way line of Highway 6;
THENCE in a northerly direction along a line 2000 feet from and parallel
to the East right of way line of Highway 6, said line being the present city
limit line, toa point in the North line of Lot 20 of the Richards Addition to
the City of College Station;
THENCE S 440 47' W a distance 120.54 feet along the North line of the
aforementioned Richards Addition to the place of beginning and containing
1, 025. 05 acres, more or less.
TRACT NO. 71-4
BEGINNING at a fence corner in the southwest line of State Highway 6 at
the most easterly corner of the tract conveyed to the Area Progress Corpora-
tion by Roy W. Kelley as shown in Volume 286, Page 292 of the Deed Records
of Brazos County and now identified as the southeast corner of Tract 2 in
Ponderosa Place, a subdivision, as shown on the preliminary plat dated
October, 1970.

THENCE S 460 001 W - 363.2 feet with the southeast line of
the Area Progress Corporation tract;
THENCE N 370 131 W - 767.1 feet;
THENCE N 520 471 E - 314.2 feet to the southwest line of State
Highway 6;
THENCE with the southwest line of Highway 6 as follows; S 370 181E
70. 0 feet; S 800 351 E - 67. 5 feet; S 370 131 E - 605. 2 feet to the point
of beginning and containing 6. 073 acres,
