WHEREAS, on August 28th, a public hearing was held on the subject
of annexation of certain property, east of College Station and along State
Highway 30; and
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of College
Station has considered the subject of annexing property along Highway 30
and recommended the annexation of certain property in the area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of College Station
institute proceedings to annex certain property along Highway 30, and
that such proceedings are hereby instituted; and further
BE IT RESOLVED THAT notice be posted placing the issue of such an
annexation on the agenda for the regular council meeting to be held on
Thursday, September 25, 1980, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., and further
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Planner and City Attorney be directed
to prepare a legal description of the property recommended for annexation
by the Planning & Zoning Commission, and that an ordinance for the
annexation of such property be prepared for consideration at the council
meeting on Thursday, September 25, 1980, at 7:00 o'clock P.M.
