Workshop City Council Meeting
December 13, 1978

Planner Calloway, Assistant Engineer Fees, City Manager Bardell

Agenda Item No. 1--Status Report by Department of Highways and Transportation
and discussion of traffic considerations in College Station.
Several members of the Highway Department presented projects for the Council
to review including recently completed projects, contracts underway now, and
projects still under the planning stages. The members answered questions of
the Council directed toward such items as ,Wellborn Road, Holloman Road, the
street tree plan, a bicycle route system, approximate equal funding for projects
in Bryan and in College Station, and Texas Avenue from the west by-pass to the
east by-pass. Various funding policies were also explained.
Agenda Item No.2--Discussion of creation of a proposed Housing Association.
Community Development Planner Calloway explained the letter from Mr. Robert
Kassel stating his policy on setting up an association to develop a type of
housing project without setting up a Housing Authority. The Council will
look into the matter further and if questions arise, will ask at a future
Council meeting.

The Council asked to look over the proposed ordinance, and to complete
discussion at a future meeting.
The meeting was adjourned.
