Workshop City Council Meeting
December 27, 1978

Agenda I:tem No. 1--Discussion of proposed .pro-rata ordinance.
City Planner Mayo explained the proposed pro-rata ordinance. He indicated
that from an administrator's point of view, section 2 was the most complicated.
City Attorney Lewis discussed questions raised by the developers on Sections
2 and 6.
City Manager Bardell answered questions of the Council directed toward the
various sections of the ordinance concerning the seven year time period,
retro-activity, and cost of involvement.
Agenda Item No.2--Discussion of Krenek Tap Park Grant Application.
Parks and Recreation Director Beachy will make the formal presentation
concerning the resolution at t,e Regular City Council Meeting on Thursday.
It gives the City authority to submit the application to the Texas Parks
and Recreation Department.
Agenda Item No.3--Discussion of a letter from Bryan concerning Water and
Sewer Service.
Mayor Bravenec discussed the letter from Bryan concerning the water and
sewer service agreement. He indicated that the contract with TAMU stipulates
that the City may buy any amount of water it desires. He suggested that City
Manager Bardell negotiate with Bryan City Officials on future water purchases.
Agenda Item No.4--Discussion of Utility Billing Procedure.
Assistant City Manager of Finance Van Dever explained the system of getting
the utility billing on schedule, to be completed in February. The Council
agreed to forgo assessing penalties for both November and December bills until
the January bill is overdue.
Agenda Item No. 5--Adj ourn.
The meeting was declared adjourned.
