Workshop City Council Meeting
November 8, 1978
4:00 P.M.
ME~ERS PRESENT- Mayor Bravenec; Councilmen Ringer, Halter, Hazen; City Manager
Bardell; City Engineer Ash; Community Development Planner
Calloway; Fire Chief Landua;
MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmen Dozier, Boughton, Adams
VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register
Agenda Item No.1--Discussion .0f..Co.mmuni.,ty' .Development Prosram for 1979.
Community Development Planner Calloway answered questions and explained the
policies of HUD concerning changes needing to be made.
Mayor Bravenec instructed the staff to continue its study.
Agenda, Item No.2--Discussion of fire insurance possibilities.
The Mayor stated that he had looked into the possibility of setting up a mutual
insurance company with city funding.
Councilman Halter stated that the existing insurance firms in the city would
not be pleased with the idea.
The Mayor asked if the Council was interested in his looking into the matter
further. He will continue his study contingent on the approval of the absent
members.
Agenda Item No. 3--Closed session to discuss personnel and p.en. din~ litigation.
The Council moved into closed session, then into open session after their
discussion.
Agenda Item No. 4--Adj ourn.
